Registration will be held on March 6th and 7th from 6:30-8pm at the community centre.

Registration fee: $120

Jersey deposit: $25 (postdated cheque for June 30th)

Ages 8-11: games on Saturdays

Ages 12-18: games on Sundays

Games are played at various gyms throughout the city.

Practices are held once a week. Practice times will NOT be determined until registration is complete.

The programs are designed for 1/2 court and 3/4 court recreational players between the ages of 5 and 15 years old. 

These programs are a great way to play tennis in the winter for a very affordable price. The programs will be carried out by certified instructors and will run between 7 weeks. All equipment is provided and participants will receive a certificate at the end of the session. 

This is part of a larger strategy called the "Little Aces Program" run by Tennis Manitoba which offers tennis programs within the community. This initiative is aimed at growing the number of young tennis players with the hopes of developing more grass-roots and community programs that introduce more kids and families to tennis.

A minimum donation of $100 is required to be named on the donor wall.  Donations can be made online using the “Donate Now” link on this page  or by cheque made payable to “Linden Woods Community Foundation”.  Cheques can be mailed to the Foundation at 414 Lindenwood Dr W., Winnipeg MB  R3P 2K5 or dropped off at the community centre during office hours.  Cash donations will also be accepted at the office.  Receipts for tax purposes are issued promptly.

Our new program "LITTLE NINJAS" has started. Thank you for the response as the class has been filled and a waiting list has been started. Please email if you wish to be on a waiting list for the next class which will probably be September, 2012.

  •  Mondays, 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. 
  •  Fee - approximately $50

The goal of the Little Ninjas program is to include the basic skills of karate in a fun-filled environment. Basic skills will include punching, kicking, blocking, stances and self-defense. In teaching the basic skills we will be working on focus, teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness, respect, manners, following directions and co-ordination.

Program is developed by and classes team-taught by senior black belts in Shotokan karate – a pediatrician (sports medicine), a former teacher, & a former nanny.

Class size: maximum 14

The co-coordinator for this year’s Linden Lights competition is Jillian Ainge from Scotiabank, Linden Ridge branch.  She will be inviting three judges that are not Linden Woods residents to tour our area.  Judges will be looking out for the best themed street and the best decorated individual homes during the week of December 11th to the 17th.   The results will be posted on www.lindenwoods.cc, and the announcement will goes on the January/February issue of Linden Words.  Winners are also engraved on plaques to be displayed in the Community Centre.  
 
We can’t wait to see your lights twinkle in the night.  Linden Woods has always been known for community spirit. Let’s make this year’s light competition our best ever.

    • The goal of the Little Ninjas program is to include the basic skills of karate in a fun-filled environment. Basic skills will include punching, kicking, blocking, stances and self-defense. In teaching the basic skills we will be working on focus, teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness, respect, manners, following directions and co-ordination.

    Program is developed by and Classes team-taught by senior black belts in Shotokan karate – a pediatrician (sports medicine), a former teacher, & a former nanny.

    Class size: maximum 14

Last weekend the community gathered together to perform the official opening. 
      
    Councillor John Orlikow and project manager Jennifer Zyla check out the new facility.
     
    Members of the community dropped by to see the astonishingly shiny gym floor.
     
    The project was awarded the Green Globes award for energy efficiency. 
     
    Winnipeg Minor Basketball Executive Director Lee Hurton inspected the place where many league games will take place for years to come. 
     
    Councillor Orlikow, Jennifer Zyla and MP Rod Bruinooge cut the ribbon to officially open the facility.

    Hours will be from 3:30pm to 5pm Monday to Thursday. Sports will alternate between Basketball and Volleyball over the first few weeks with the introduction of new sports and events as we move forward.

    Participants will be required to have non marking gym shoes and must register on the daily sign in sheet.  

    To insure safety, volunteers and paid staff will monitor activities daily.
