LWCC Youth Summer Basketball Camp

What:
16 hours in 8 sessions of basketball skill development for 8 and 9 year old boys!
Dates:
August 7th to 10th - 10 am to 12 noon
and
August 13th to 16th - 1 pm to 3 pm
Coach:
Trevor Olfert will be leading the sessions and has been coaching and involved in basketball and other junior/senior high athletics over the past 16 years as an educator, coach, convenor and trainer. In the last few years Trevor has been involved in coaching at the Linden Woods Community Centre.  
Cost:
$50.00  
Register at Lindenwoods Community Centre from 9:30 to 11:30 and 1:30 to 5:00
Space is limited so register soon.

Spring Youth Basketball

Spring youth basketball is open to ages 8-18. The spring league will run from April until the end of June.

Registration will be held on March 6th and 7th from 6:30-8pm at the community centre.

Registration fee: $120

Jersey deposit: $25 (postdated cheque for June 30th)

Ages 8-11: games on Saturdays

Ages 12-18: games on Sundays

Games are played at various gyms throughout the city.

Practices are held once a week. Practice times will NOT be determined until registration is complete.

Coaches and volunteers are always needed. Please let us know at registration if you can help out!

Youth Open Gym

Starting Oct-24, youth from 12 to 18 are invited to participate in a free open gym at LWCC.

Hours will be from 3:30pm to 5pm Monday to Thursday. Sports will alternate between Basketball and Volleyball over the first few weeks with the introduction of new sports and events as we move forward.

Participants will be required to have non marking gym shoes and must register on the daily sign in sheet.  

To insure safety, volunteers and paid staff will monitor activities daily.

Youth Basketball Registration

The fall/winter season of basketball begins early October and runs until mid-March. Registration is open to youth ages 5-18. Registration will take place at the Lindenwoods Community Centre.

Registration dates:

Monday, Sept. 12:  6:30-8pm

Thursday, Sept. 15th: 6:30-8pm

Fees:

Ages 5-7 (coed) :  $90

Ages 8-18: $190 plus a $25 jersey deposit (postdated cheque for March 31, 2012)

Please bring your Manitoba Health card for proof of age and address.

LWCC youth basketball will hold registration on March 7th and March 10th from 6:30-8pm at the Linden Woods Community Centre. Please use the rear entrance due to construction.

Spring basketball is offered for ages 8-18. Games are held on Saturdays for ages 8-11; Sundays for ages 12-18. Game times vary each week and are held between 9am and 5pm. Games begin mid-April until the end of June. Practices times are TBA.

We will be accepting donations for the new gym during registration!  Thank you to all the families who have contributed so far. If you haven't had a chance there's still time! Your donation can help us reach our goal.
